My Favourite Smoothies
Summer just began a few days ago and so far it has been wonderful with great temperatures, not too hot and not too cold. I love it!!!! This summer I plan to make fifty different smoothies so watch this space. I shall keep on posting as I make and keep on drinking of course…..
Please note that bananas and avocados tend to oxidize and turn brown when exposed to air. It’s always important to add a citric juice like orange when making smoothies with bananas or avocados. The other alternative is to add 2-3 tablespoons lemon or lime juice.
Avocado Orange and Banana Smoothie
Preparation time: 5 minutes Serves: 3 x 250ml cups
Ingredients
- 3 medium bananas or 2 large
- 1 medium sized avocado
- 2 cups orange juice
Instructions
- Combine everything and blend till smooth. Serve.

The summer of smoothies, love it! We go through periods of smoothie making. I think I am about to start up again, so easy and the kids love them.
I have drunk so much smoothie this summer, I can’t believe it. Every morning I make a glass. I am probably becoming a smoothie addict!! ha ha!
