I found this recipe on Williams Sonoma, Complete Pasta Book. Apparently this Fettuccine Alfredo has egg yolk in it, but many of the recipes I googled don’t use any egg yolk. If you don’t fancy adding a yolk just skip it. I don’t think it will change the recipe much. Have a great weekend. Continue reading
I got inspired by this Italian Sausage Spinach Ricotta Cannelloni. It’s made using fresh pasta but I was too lazy to make some. I bought myself a box of Manicotti and used pork instead of Italian sausage. I also used fresh spinach. I have never ever been a fan of frozen spinach. It just never sounds right for me. I used Pecorino Romano Cheese. Much more tasty and salty than Parmesan. We ate everything. No left overs. I wish you a very pleasant weekend! Continue reading
This dish was a hit. For the breadcrumbs I just threw 2 slices of whole grain bread in a chopper and made fresh crumbs. You can use Panko or other fancy crumbs if you like. You can also increase the amount of cheese if you want. I wish you a very pleasant weekend. Our day has started with SUN…..YES LOTS OF IT!
Whenever I’m feeling lazy but I still want to eat a nice home cooked meal, I bake the food in the oven. The main ingredients here are ground beef, mixed veggies, a good quality red wine, pasta and lots of shredded cheese to top. You can vary the type and amount of cheese to suit your palate. Have a lovely day. Please send me some virtual sun shine.
The first time I made this lasagna, I made 6 layers. It was very nice but in subsequent cookings I decided to simplify it into 3 layers. You can add more layers if you wish and more cheese if you wish. You can also omit the peas if you don’t fancy them. Our schools are closed today…SNOW DAY…but the sun is actually out and it’s much more pleasant now. I wish you a pleasant day. I am planning to make lasagna for dinner tonight. Continue reading
