My Favourite Smoothies
Summer just began a few days ago and so far it has been wonderful with great temperatures, not too hot and not too cold. I love it!!!! This summer I plan to make fifty different smoothies so watch this space. I shall keep on posting as I make and keep on drinking of course…..
Please note that avocados tend to oxidize and turn brown when exposed to air. It’s always important to add a citric juice like orange when making smoothies with avocados. The other alternative is to add 2-3 tablespoons lemon or lime juice.
Blueberry Pineapple Cantaloupe Smoothie
Preparation time: 5 minutes Serves: 5 x 250ml cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup canned pineapple tidbits (with juice)
- 1 cup diced cantaloupe
- 1 medium sized avocado chopped
- 1 cup flavoured yoghurt (I used Astro-Lime Flavour)
- 1 cup orange juice
Instructions
- Combine everything and blend till smooth. Serve.

I’m with you until avocado! Would still be great without it though.
MM I love avocado, but it’s not cheap, compared to apples. The smoothie was good!
