What is whole canned tomatoes?

Whole canned tomatoes are one of the highest quality tomato products. They are fresh whole tomatoes, blanched in hot water and then peeled or unpeeled, and canned in hot tomato juice or puree.

The main ingredients are usually. Tomatoes and Tomato juice. Some whole tomatoes may contain Basil leaves, salt or citric acid.

How to store canned whole tomatoes

Canned tomatoes should be refrigerated after opening for about 6 days. Please read the label of your product.

Culinary Use of Whole Tomatoes

Canned whole tomatoes can be used for any recipe calling for tomatoes and is especially good for making pasta sauces.

If your recipe calls for crushed or pureed tomatoes you can simply break the whole tomatoes with your hands or chop them or puree them in a blender, to your desired consistency.
