A traditional Mexican dish consisting of fried tortilla, typically folded or rolled, filled with various fillings, such as seasoned meat: (beef, pork, chicken, seafood, fish), beans, vegetables and topped with cheese, lettuce, coriander, guacamole, salsa, onions, tomatoes etc.
The folded tortilla may be soft or hard (hard taco shell). Hard taco shells are bought ready to use in boxed containers.
