With a dusting of paprika
This cheese is great balance between creamy mature cheddar and a tangy smokey cheese flavour. The rind is red and finished off with a dusting of paprika.
Great as a snack, with your favourite burger, delicatessen meats or topped on sliced tomatoes.
Ingredients: milk, salt, bacterial culture, rennet and flavours.
I recently bought a box of mixed English cheeses in Calgary, Canada, and among them of particular note was a 200 gram piece “Redwood Smokey Cheddar”, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Our Canadian cheeses are mostly very bland. and it was good to get a taste of the old country again which I left in November 1968.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one too! I love smoked cheeses. And yes it’s not easy to come by really good cheeses in Canada. Thanks and have a wonderful week!

I don’t think I have ever tried it. I need to become more educated about cheeses. I think that is why it’s so great to try different cheeses on cheese trays so long as they are labeled! Maybe I will have to go to a wine and cheese and take notes! This one looks like a soft cheese? I’m sitting here looking out my livingroom window and it is almost one of those days you want to go back to bed and pull the covers up over your head. Grey, dark, blustery raining! At least the leaves are almost off the trees! Hope you have a great week Liz!
It was my first time to taste it and I must say I really loved it. I always labelled mine. It’s quite soft and smoky. I would also like to taste more cheeses coz I started a cheese section on the blog and it’s quite empty. LOL!
Today is a lovely and sunny day. I need to rake the leaves. Lord! I’ve been saying that for the last three weeks! Have a wonderful day Sandy. I shall visit your blog later today. I saw some new interesting things!

Thanks Liz, and also for the heads up about my blog address! I shall be interested in your cheese explorations. I’m not well versed in them and I know the tastes can be quite interesting. Even blue cheese was something I didn’t at first enjoy, but I do like blue cheese dressing!
Hi Sandy
I must say I’m still not a fan of blue cheese. I love blue cheese sauces etc but I don’t really enjoy it on a cheese platter…too strong for my palate. Enjoy the rest of the week!
