Delicate, Soothing and Irresistible
A few months ago I stopped taking pop, flavoured yoghurts and most of the boxed fruit drinks that taste very nice but nevertheless, are loaded with so much sugar.
And now, I am on a tea drinking spree.…oh yes TEA! what a bliss! For every 300ml mug of tea, I add 1 heaped teaspoon of sugar (that’s exactly 7g of sugar). I take on average 4 mugs of tea day so that’s a total of 28g of sugar, on an average day.
This week I am drinking Twinings Calming Camomile Tea. How can I describe this tea? It’s delicate, soothing and irresistible. I bought this one on a trip to Kenya and I am so in love with the packaging. The one in Canada looks different, I don’t know why….
Twinnings is my favourite tea brand. I have had more than 50 teas from Twinings, but I never used to post them so…I can’t even remember some of them.
Here is a little statistics to mull over
- 200ml of Allen Juice has 19g of sugar
- 200ml of Kool Aid has 17g of sugar
- 250ml of most flavoured yoghurts have 38g sugar…
I have to loose this weight round my middle and for me, tea is the answer!
Have lovely day!!!!!
We are a tea-drinking family here, as well. An entire shelf of the pantry is dedicated to our teas. We’ve begun to collect tea tins for storing things. Twinings is readily available here in South Texas. When we want to splurge (and for Christmas, birthdays, and Easter gifts) we discovered Harney and Sons. Check out their website.
“Harney and Sons” here we go…I shall google straight away. I have just finished a cup of ginger and peach tea. Very nice. Have a wonderful weekend.

I have enjoyed browsing and drooling all over the place. If we have “Harney and Sons, it’s probably in Toronto. Will check out next time I’m there. Thanks for introducing me!!!
