My Favourite Smoothies
Summer just began a few days ago and so far it has been wonderful with great temperatures, not too hot and not too cold. I love it!!!! This summer I plan to make fifty different smoothies so watch this space. I shall keep on posting as I make and drink of course…..
We went to an Asian store in my small city here and discovered they sell lots of canned Mango pulp from India. Yum. We bought several cans and it has been so convenient. One big can contains three x 250ml cups of thick mango pulp. I noticed the local Food Basic Store also has canned mango pulp at twice the price. Look out for unsweetened mango pulp. It’s very convenient for making smoothies.
Mango Cantaloupe and Apple Smoothie
Preparation time: 5 minutes Serves: 3 x 250ml cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup diced cantaloupe
- 1 cup canned, unsweetened mango pulp (store bought)
- 1 cup plain, unsweetened yoghurt
- 100g (3.5oz) tub unsweetened apple puree
Instructions
- Combine everything and blend till smooth. Serve.

Yum! We all love mango. I would throw some mint in from the garden and the boys would drink in in seconds.
Oh that sounds great. I’ve never thought of mixing mango with mint. I must give it a try.
