Have a Thoughtful Weekend

Please Remember to Take Your Scarf With You

Yesterday was a lovely and sunny day, so I decided to go for a walk without a scarf and put on a rather light jacket, after all it was shining.  Half way through the walk, the wind started gusting. You know what I am talking about, that biting, cold and frigid wind, that leaves you with an instant running nose and eyes tearing. When this happens and you have your scarf then, you just bundle up and continue walking, happily. I didn’t have my scarf, so I couldn’t bundle up. For the first time since winter began, I really missed my scarf. I remembered my friend, Karen with her, beautiful handmade scarves. Oh how I longed for a scarf…so ladies and gentlemen, if you are going to take a walk over the weekend, and you live in a cold place, please remember to take your scarf with you, and also remember to check the ‘feels like temperatures’ and dress appropriately.

To all those who have been supporting or following my blog, liking my posts and most of all trying out the recipes, I thank you very much for your support because without you, I would have given up by now. Your support is very important to me because it motivates and energizes me!

To my friend Karen, thank you for letting me use these photos for the post.

Food for thought: did you know that the person on the other end of the phone line can sense you smiling? If you never answer your phone with a smile, it’s time to try smiling on the phone. Please give ten people a smile this weekend!

Have a thoughtful weekend!

    1. Omg that’s such an old post of mine. The first year I started blogging and sometimes had nothing to say….thanks. I love that scarf too. It was a cold, windy and gusty day. I remember that day so vividly…have a great week!

  1. Thanks all for the the nice compliments on my scarf (and smile!). Is it me, or am I picking up on a MAJOR hint from Liz for her next birthday present?!? 😉

    1. Hey she has reappeared after a long spell of silence. How was March break? You do have a lovely smile, my dear and yes I do want a scarf for me birthday, because I love all your scarves even the ones I am yet to see. Thanks for supporting my blog and for letting me use the photos!! You are phenomenal!

  2. I have never really used a scarf while going for walks, I just zip up my jacket all the way to the tip of my nose. But now knowing that it does help and seeing that amazing scarf. I’ll be carrying one every now and then just in case, but also to look stylish as I walk as well.

    1. I must buy one of those winter coats with a high collar, this zipping idea sounds brilliant if you have the right coat. Thanks for visiting my blog!

  3. Oh my God, this is so true. One day in January I took a long walk and I was rather skimply dressed and without a scarf too, then the wind started, it was my worst experience this year. Now I look back and just smile and remember the saying, “Once beaten, twice shy” I never ever forget all the necessary things like a scarf, gloves and an extra jacket. I do love your friend’s scarf. It’s so pretty…just love it!

    1. I always look back and laugh about the silly things that transpire in life, they make life interesting. Can you imagine if everything went on as planned without any hitches? Life would be one boring modus operandi! Sometimes, I am glad we have all those little ups and downs, to spice up boring moments!

  4. I’ve had that happen to me a few times before, when I came home I swear my nose and ears were ready to fall off. From then on I always carry a scarf in my purse (even in the summer just to know it’s there) And may I say that scarf is beautiful, I wish I had such craftsmanship in me.

    1. I love that scarf too..thats why I posted that picture. It’s really strange how small things like scarves make such a big difference in our day to day lives!!! Thanks for you continued support!!!
