Butter and Garlic Sautéed Navy Bean

I love simple recipes. Sometimes you are so tired at the end of the day, you don’t want to eat out of a can but still want something fresh, alongside your meal. I usually boil navy beans in bulk and store them in the fridge or freezer. Have a pleasant weekend.

Heat the butter over medium low heat until foamy. Add the onion and garlic and sauté without browning for 5 minutes. Add paprika and cook for another minute. Add the navy beans, salt and pepper to taste, water or stock and cook 5 minutes or until piping hot. Serve as a side.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 large cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 ½ cups cooked navy beans
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-4 tablespoons water or stock

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter over medium low heat until foamy. Add the onion and garlic and sauté without browning for 5 minutes. Add paprika and cook for another minute.
  2. Add the navy beans, salt and pepper to taste, water or stock and cook 5 minutes or until piping hot. Serve as a side.
  3. Suggestions for serving. I usually eat mine for breakfast alongside eggs and a nice cup of Masala tea or at dinner time, so this forces me to eat less carbs.
