Make sure you buy good quality ingredients for this recipe. The green onions are a must. They are the key ingredient in this recipe. Do not substitute with red or yellow onions. You may use chives but I prefer green onions.

- 4 stems green onions finely sliced

- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoi sin sauce
- 300ml (1¼ cup) chicken broth (stock) or water
- 3 teaspoons cornstarch (cornflour)
- ½-1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
