My Favourite Smoothies
I have been trying to make Kale smoothies from random recipes googled on the internet and what an experience it has been! Do I have to drink a Kale smoothie? I eat a lot of sautéed kale, the way my mother used to make it and I love it just that way.
I am determined to keep on trying until I come up with some drinkable stuff (what use is it if children can’t drink it?). If you have a drinkable Kale smoothie recipe, please swing it my way. Today I am sharing a pear-banana-cantaloupe smoothie. I just had it for lunch with a freshly BBQued burger. It was so good, and too filling. I am falling asleep and wondering if I really have to cook dinner tonight. I hope you’re having a great summer. Please try this smoothie if you can, before the pear season comes to a close. Pear Banana and Cantaloupe Smoothie
Preparation time: 5 minutes Serves: 3 x 250ml cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup diced cantaloupe
- 1 cup diced overripe Pear
- 1 cup plain, unsweetened yoghurt (if you want a sweet smoothie use flavoured yoghurt)
- 1 cup pure orange juice (fresh or boxed)
Instructions
- Combine everything and blend till smooth. Serve.
