Pasta with Creamy Mascarpone and Chives

My Favourite Pasta Recipes

Featured Pasta with Creamy Mascarpone Sauce myfavouritepastime.com_3733The recipe I’m sharing today is so simple there is no need to elaborate too much. The main ingredients are pasta and mascarpone cheese. Mascarpone is an Italian cheese made from cream. It’s milky coloured and velvety smooth, like rich heavy cream. It has a sweet and lemony taste and a buttery aroma. Mascarpone is one of the main ingredients in tiramisu. Chives and fresh lemon juice are added to enhance the flavour.

    1. […] cook with mascarpone cheese, so I bought myself a huge tub and everything I cooked that week got a good dose of the cheese. Mascarpone is added to enhance the flavour of a dish, without overwhelming the original taste. […]

  1. There’s my evening meal all planned for me! I’ve used quite a few of your recipes, thanks.

I’ve tasted this with some Gorgonzola (dolce) added, and a sprinkle of chopped walnuts. Very tasty. But, I can’t find that type of Gorgonzola in my little country town!

    1. In texture it’s like North American sour cream. It’s made in one day from fresh cream. As I mentioned in the post It has a sweet and lemony taste and a buttery aroma. The taste is very subtle It’s use more for it’s creaminess! thanks have a great week!
