Anchovy paste is a fish paste made primarily of ground cured anchovy fillets. The other basic ingredients are usually olive or sunflower oil, salt and sometimes an acidic ingredient like vinegar or acetic acid.
Anchovy paste is packed in tubes, like toothpaste, or in cans or bottles, and can be bought in supermarkets and grocery stores.
You can also make your own homemade anchovy paste using canned anchovy fillets, and grinding or blending them with some olive oil.
Anchovy paste is used as a condiment in cooking to enhance flavour of food, sauces, spreads, and salad dressings.
The paste should be used sparingly and should be refrigerated after opening.

A little anchovy paste makes sooooo many recipes better! Whenever salt is required in a savory dish, try a little to replace the salt. Remarkable, and they won’t know what it was. A secret ingredient.
That is so true!!!!!. I learnt never to say what ingredients I added to the meal. Nobody ever tastes it, yet they all say they don’t eat it!!! It’s truly a secret ingredient! Have a great weekend

Mmm…I love anchovies and having them mashed up in something like baked beans on toast.
I know exactly what you mean. I love them in pasta too!
